SA20 2025-26: Match 5, SEC vs PC Match Prediction – Who will win today’s SA20 match between Sunrisers Eastern Cape vs Pretoria Capitals?

Match 5 of SA20 2025-26 will be played between Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Pretoria Capitals at the St George's Park in Gqeberha on December 29. Both teams have played one match each this season.
The Eastern Cape hit the ground running with a massive 137-run win against Paarl Royals in their tournament-opening clash. Jordan Hermann (62* off 28) and Anrich Nortje (4/13 in 3 overs) were the star performers for the team, who bundled out the Royals for a meagre 49 in 11.5 overs.
The Capitals, who finished fifth in the six-team tournament last season, lost their opening encounter by 22 runs against Joburg Super Kings. Despite getting off to a solid start during their pursuit of 169, the Keshav Maharaj-led unit fell short at the end.
The pitch at the St George's Park has not been the easiest to bat on. The pitch offers good pace and bounce. As the match progresses, the pitch tends to slow down a touch. Spinners tend to play a lesser role on a pitch such as this.
Jonny Bairstow, Quinton de Kock (wk), Matthew Breetzke, Jordan Hermann, Tristan Stubbs (c), Marco Jansen, Senuran Muthusamy, Lewis Gregory, Tharindu Rathnayake, Anrich Nortje, Adam Milne
Will Smeed, Bryce Parsons, Shai Hope, Daniel Smith (wk), Dewald Brevis, Connor Esterhuizen, Roston Chase, Codi Yusuf, Keshav Maharaj (c), Lungi Ngidi, Tymal Mills
Quinton de Kock got off to a positive start. He struck 42 off 24 against Paarl Royals in an innings which comprised three fours and two sixes. Ahead of the SA20, de Kock displayed flashes of brilliance during South Africa's tour of India. De Kock is expected to take the charge to the opposition.
Tymal Mills bowled a total of 15 dot deliveries in the Capitals' first encounter of SA20 this season and ended up with a couple of wickets to his name. Mills has time and again proved to be a handful in T20s, and conditions at the St George's Park can be expected to be favourable to his type of bowling.
