Scotland include four uncapped players for Netherlands ODIs; Sarah Bryce named captain

Scotland Women have introduced a blend of youth and experience for their upcoming home ODI series against the Netherlands, naming four uncapped players in a 16-member squad. Wicketkeeper-batter Sarah Bryce will captain the side for the three-match series, which begins on August 28 and concludes on September 1.

Ammy Baldie, Rebecca McCrossan, Charlotte Nevard and Isabella Watson are the four uncapped players included in Scotland’s squad, giving them an opportunity to make their international debuts during the series. The selections underline Scotland’s willingness to broaden their player pool while providing promising domestic performers with exposure at the international level.

McCrossan and Watson, in particular, have pushed their cases through strong displays in Scottish domestic cricket and the Women’s Regional Super Series. The tour also represents the beginning of a new era for the Netherlands, with Pierre de Bruyn set to undertake his first assignment as the Netherlands Women’s head coach.
