Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and his partner Sophie Shine officially began a new chapter in their lives, tying the knot in an intimate yet lavish ceremony on February 21. While the couple chose to keep the celebrations relatively private, Dhawan’s luxury accessories quickly became a major talking point.

The couple broke away from traditional bridal norms where Sophie opted to skip the classic red palette for her wedding ensembles, choosing instead a more contemporary and elegant look. Dhawan, meanwhile, complemented the grand occasion with a statement timepiece reportedly worth INR 65 lakh.

According to luxury watch spotters, the groom was seen wearing a Rolex Day-Date crafted in 18-carat yellow gold and paired with the brand’s iconic Presidential bracelet. It is often referred to as the ‘Presidential Rolex,’ where the watch is globally associated with achievement and milestone moments, making it a fitting choice for a wedding day. The timepiece comes from Swiss luxury watchmaker Rolex, renowned for its heritage craftsmanship and timeless designs.

The newlyweds later shared dreamy glimpses from their ceremony on Instagram with the caption, ‘Mr. & Mrs. Dhawan’, sending fans into a celebratory frenzy. The photos beautifully captured both romance and elegance, showcasing intimate moments that highlighted the couple’s chemistry.

Sophie chose to walk down the aisle in a breathtaking ivory lehenga by renowned Indian designer Manish Malhotra. Her bridal ensemble featured a luminous ivory silk base intricately embroidered with delicate floral motifs in coral, peach, and sage green, exuding grace and contemporary charm.

Speaking about Dhawan, he has scored 2315 runs in 34 Tests, 6793 runs in 164 ODIs, and 1759 runs in 68 T20Is for India. He has been particularly outstanding in the 50-over format, amassing runs at an impressive average of 44.11, including 17 centuries and 39 half-centuries.

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Dhawan has accumulated 6769 runs in 222 matches, registering two centuries and 51 fifties, further cementing his legacy as one of the most consistent batters in the tournament’s history.
