Cricket South Africa (CSA) has confirmed that the Proteas Women will be hosting the reigning World Cup champions India in December this year, followed by a dominant Australian side in a highly anticipated multi-format tour for the visitors. Harmanpreet Kaur will be hoping that her women pull off a similar performance against the Proteas like they did during the World Cup final, while the hosts will prepare for revenge.

The Women in Blue will arrive in South Africa in December to play three One-Day Internationals, which is a crucial part of the ongoing ICC Women's Championship 2025-2029 cycle. After playing the 50-over contests across Potchefstroom, Bloemfontein, and Cape Town, both teams will engage in a four-day Test match in Gqeberha.

After ending the India series, the Proteas will prepare themselves to host a challenging series against Australia Women. The Aussies have seen a transition in captaincy, and it will be interesting to see how they fare overseas without the experience of veteran leader and wicketkeeper-batter Alyssa Healy. The hosts, meanwhile, are likely to be led by experienced top-order batter Laura Wolvaardt.

Speaking of the tour, the fierce competitors will start the series with three 20-over games in Kimberley, Benoni, and KuGompo City, followed by as many ODIs at Gqeberha (March 27), Paarl (March 31), and Durban (April 03). This series also features a one-off Test, which will be played in Potchefstroom from April 08 to 11.
