Mumbai Indians’ (MI) star batter and Indian T20I mainstay, Suryakumar Yadav, shared a heartfelt message for his long-time teammate and friend Rohit Sharma, following a special moment at the Wankhede Stadium. The tribute came after the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) honored Rohit by naming a stand after him at the iconic venue.
The gesture recognizes Rohit’s outstanding contributions to Indian cricket, particularly his deep-rooted connection with Mumbai and his achievements across all formats of the game. Suryakumar, known for his camaraderie with Rohit on and off the field, took to social media to express his pride and admiration.
Sky took to Instagram to express that that Rohit has achieved remarkable feats on the cricket field, transitioning from a finisher to an opener and ultimately becoming the captain of the Indian team. He has been an inspiration and a source of pride in every role he has taken on. As a rare leader who leads by example, Rohit has transformed the game for the better.
“Congratulations @rohitsharma45 on achieving incredible things on the cricket ground, from finisher to opener to our captain, you have been an inspiration and our pride, in every role. Very rarely comes a leader who leads from the front, and changes the game for better” Sky wrote.
