Suryakumar Yadav poses for selfie with pitch-invading fan during T20 Mumbai League match
In a heartwarming turn of events, former India captain Suryakumar Yadav shared a great moment with a fan who invaded the pitch at the Wankhede Stadium during a T20 Mumbai League match.
In a video captured by a supporter in the stands, Suryakumar showcased his light-hearted side, treating the pitch invader with kindness instead of getting angry. The person initially touched the right-handed batter's feet before the umpires intervened. Before leaving, the invader asked Suryakumar for a selfie, to which the 35-year-old duly obliged, striking a pose.
The Triumphs Knights MNE captain also urged the security personnel to behave nicely with the pitch invader as he was escorted off the ground.

It is worth mentioning that Suryakumar is not having the best of times in his international career. Despite guiding India to the T20 World Cup title earlier this year, the right-hander has not only been axed from the captaincy but has also been dropped from the side ahead of their white-ball tour to Ireland and England.
In his place, Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer has been recalled to the T20 setup and has straightaway taken over the leadership role.
3 players who can replace Suryakumar Yadav in Mumbai Indians
Suryakumar's poor form with the bat is the primary reason behind his sacking from the T20I side. The hard-hitting batter did not enjoy the best of times in the recently concluded Indian Premier League, where he scored just 270 runs from 13 matches at an average of 20.76 whilst striking at 147.54. These are his lowest tally of runs in a single IPL campaign since scoring 105 runs back in 2017 during his last season with the Kolkata Knight Riders.
