The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is set to begin on February 7, and will run until March 8, featuring a total of twenty elite teams competing in the T20I format. This tenth edition marks the largest expansion in the tournament’s history and is co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka across eight iconic venues. The defending champions, India, will launch the tournament on home soil against the USA at Mumbai’s historic Wankhede Stadium.
The tournament is divided into four groups:
Each team will play the others in their group once, with the top two from each advancing to the Super 8 stage. Notably, while the tournament is co-hosted, all of Pakistan’s matches are scheduled for Sri Lanka, including the highly anticipated clash against India in Colombo.
Key matches to watch include the high-stakes showdown between India and Pakistan on February 15. The semi-finals are scheduled for March 4 and 5, leading up to the final on March 8, which will be hosted at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the world’s largest cricket stadium, ensuring a grand conclusion to the month-long cricket festival.
