'That was a sh*t shot' - Naman Dhir goes unfiltered on live television after 50 versus Punjab Kings

Naman Dhir played a superb knock, scoring an invaluable 50 off 31 balls during Match 24 of the ongoing IPL 2026 between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, April 16.
Dhir's knock came as a blessing in disguise for the hosts as they were left reeling for 12-2 after being asked to bat first. It would have been third wicket in the powerplay for MI had Yuzvendra Chahal held onto Dhir's miscued shot in the air, but it slipped off the 36-year-old's hands. Reflecting on the incident, the all-rounder said that it is not the kind of shot he would like playing.
"The wicket feels good; we are 20 short. (The shot on which he got dropped by Yuzvendra Chahal while batting on 10) That was a sh*t shot. Some of Quinton de Kock's shots were unbelievable; the one over cover, first ball, shows how good he is. Pitch is on the slower side; bounce is not as good. I'm not a player who smashes the ball; I time the ball. If I hit it off the middle, it's good enough," Dhir said after the first innings on air.
