Rumours of discord between Virat Kohli’s sister, Bhawna Kohli Dhingra, and his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, have been making rounds on social media this week. The speculation arose after a social media user questioned the nature of Bhawna’s relationship with the star couple, prompting Bhawna to address the matter directly and put the rumours to rest.

The controversy began shortly after Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) clinched their maiden IPL title in 2025—a moment of immense joy for the Kohli family and millions of fans. Bhawna took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note celebrating her brother’s long-awaited triumph, posting several photos from the final, including ones featuring Anushka alongside Virat.

While Bhawna’s post was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages, one comment stood out for its insinuation. The user questioned why Virat and Anushka never liked Bhawna’s posts or mentioned her in public speeches, hinting at a strained relationship. The comment read: “Why he never mention you in any speech or even don’t like your post. Not even Anushka. Lol.”

She wrote, “May God give you the patience to understand love can exist in many ways, which is not necessarily shown to the world, but it’s still there, like the love for almighty. Hope you have enough love in your life, no insecurities, only true bonds which don’t need any validation. God bless you.”

Her response emphasized that genuine relationships do not require public validation and that love within a family can be deep without being displayed on social media. Bhawna’s reply resonated with many, who lauded her maturity and refusal to engage in negativity.

There has been no public indication of any fallout between Bhawna and Anushka. In fact, Bhawna’s Instagram post included photos of Anushka and expressed gratitude for the family’s shared joy in RCB’s victory, further dispelling rumours of discord. The speculation appears to have stemmed solely from a social media comment, rather than any actual incident or statement from the family.

The Kohli family’s celebrations were also overshadowed by the tragic stampede outside Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium during the IPL celebrations, which claimed 11 lives and left over 30 injured.
