The star cricketer Unmukt Chand, in an exclusive interaction with CricTracker, spoke on a wide range of subject. He reflected on his IPL stint and recalled his time with the Mumbai Indians (MI), describing the environment as highly professional. He also expressed his desire to represent the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Chand further shared insights into his upcoming movie, Unbroken: The Unmukt Chand Story. He emphasised that the film is not just about cricketers or the sporting fraternity, but a story that will resonates with everyone in different ways.
If you get a chance to play IPL again, which team would you like to represent and why?
Well, I have already played for three teams in the IPL. I have really enjoyed playing for the Mumbai Indians because of the way it's very professional. You get taken care of very well in terms of all your needs being met, your practices are there, and so many coaches to guide you as well. That was my last experience playing for them. But now I play for the LA Knight Riders in MLC. So maybe I can say KKR now if I get a chance.
Three reasons why fans should watch Unbroken Documentary
Unbroken is a story which, obviously, it's a story revolving around my journey, but I feel it's everybody's story. It's a story of getting the fame, getting the glory, and then the setbacks as well.
Times when things have not worked in your favour, even when you're trying to do your best. And when one door shuts down, still push it hard so that another door can open up for you. And this is a story of every person, I feel. Not just in the cricketing circle, but in our everyday lives.
We've got to make sure that we keep working hard, we're true to our craft, and never give up. Even though some moments will be very difficult for us to digest. At times, things will not go as per your plans, but the best thing you can do is stay consistent, stay resilient. Keep doing it when no one is watching, when there are no results coming out of all your efforts.
And if this story resonates with you, I think you should watch it. This story is for you. And I feel that this story is something that we all resonate with in our own different ways.
