Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was crestfallen after the Rajasthan Royals (RR) lost a thrilling encounter against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens on Sunday, April 19. This wasn't the first time the talented teenager got emotional after a result didn't go his way on the cricket field.

Sooryavanshi is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve. Previously, he has been seen getting quite disappointed in himself after getting out. It was heartbreaking to see the youngster sitting on the ground after the match, visibly distraught after the Royals' lost to the three-time champions in the last over, despite fighting tooth and nail while defending a below-par target of 156 runs. A member of KKR's support staff was seen consoling the Bihar batter after the match.

Yesterday Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was spotted crying after the game… This guy is unbelievable! Whether he gets out early or the team loses, he wears his heart on his sleeve. Honestly, that’s that 15-year-old mindset I know I would’ve been doing the exact same thing at that age! 🤣…

While it wasn't a memorable day for the Royals, Sooryavanshi played well with the bat. The ball wasn't coming onto the bat as nicely as it usually does at the Eden Gardens. However, the southpaw adjusted his game accordingly and scored 46 off 28 balls, hitting six fours and two sixes. He hit the legendary Sunil Narine for a six off the second ball he faced from the Caribbean spinner.

Sooryavanshi moved to No. 5 on the list of leading run-getters for the season. In six innings, he has amassed 246 runs at an average of 41 and a strike rate of 236.54.

Coming to the match, the Royals were restricted to 155/9, with Varun Chakaravarthy and Kartik Tyagi bagging three-fors. Narine also chipped in with two scalps. In reply, the Knights were in dire straits at 85/6 in the 14th over. However, Rinku Singh, who had got a reprieve a few overs earlier, and Anukul Roy took the three-time champions home with two balls to spare.
