Video of the Day - Asia Cup 2025: Alishan Sharafu and Jatinder Singh's hat-trick of fours

Alishan Sharafu struck three back-to-back fours to help UAE end their powerplay on a high in Match 7 of the Asia Cup 2025 against Oman at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. UAE scored 50 for the loss of no wickets at the end of six overs.
Sharafu continued the momentum created by skipper Muhammad Waseem from the fourth over to cream three boundaries in the fifth one through the off side with sheer elegance, with the 22-year-old batter moving to 31 off 22 by the end of the over.

Coming to how UAE played in their first innings, they scored a competitive 172/5 in their 20-over quota after Oman opted to field first. Waseem was dismissed on the third ball of the 20th over after scoring 69 off 54. The captain's innings comprised six fours and three sixes. The left-arm medium pace of Jiten Ramanandi was the most impressive. He picked up a couple of wickets while conceding only 24 runs in his four overs.
Meanwhile, an early wicket in the opening over of the run-chase did not stop Oman skipper Jatinder Singh from replicating what Sharafu did earlier in the innings as he stroked Muhammad Rohid for three consecutive fours in the second over during the chase.
Jatinder, who had already hit a boundary on the second ball of the second innings, ensured a combination of excellent timing and impeccable placement to help Oman get to 21 by the end of the second over. Rohid, similar to Hassnain, conceded 13 runs in the over.
