Under mounting pressure after a sluggish start, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Cameron Green finally found his moment of release with a stunning maximum during the clash against Lucknow Super Giants in Match 15 of IPL 2026 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on Thursday, April 09.

Facing Mohammed Shami in a crucial 19th over, Green picked the slower delivery early and made full use of the slot on offer. Clearing his front leg, the Australian all-rounder muscled the ball high and handsome over long-on for a massive six, instantly shifting momentum. What followed was just as telling, a visible smile of relief, reflecting the weight that had just been lifted off his shoulders.

Before that shot, Green was struggling at 19 off 19 balls, unable to find timing or fluency. But that one clean strike not only boosted his strike rate but also injected fresh energy into his innings at a crucial juncture of the innings.
