Virat Kohli aggressive celebration after taking Shubman Gill's catch during GT vs RCB

Virat Kohli is always the centre of attention whenever the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) take the field in the Indian Premier League (IPL). That was again the case during their game against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday, April 30.
Kohli took a great reflex catch to get the better of GT captain Shubman Gill off the bowling of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. After taking the catch, in typical Kohli fashion, the Indian batter showed a load of emotions and aggression to lift not only his team but the crowd present inside the stadium. During his celebration, he was even seen throwing the ball down with a lot of force and anger, showing how much it meant to him to take the catch to get the better of Gill.

The way in which Gill was scoring, getting him out was crucial for RCB to make sure that they still had a chance to take the victory in Ahmedabad. Kohli’s aggressive celebration was therefore very much justified.
Prior to getting his wicket, Gill had made an excellent start to his innings and had given GT the perfect platform to chase down 156. India’s Test and ODI captain was scoring runs freely, being eventually dismissed for 43 runs from just 17 balls, an innings comprising four fours and three sixes.
In only the second over of the run chase, Gill smashed Australia’s Josh Hazlewood for 24 runs in an over, hitting two sixes along the way.
Gill has once again been GT’s best player this season. The right-handed batter has scored 373 runs from eight innings, at an average of 46.62, whilst striking at 155.41.
Kohli, on the other hand, did have a healthy contribution with the bat in the first innings. He scored 28 runs from just 13 balls, including hitting five consecutive boundaries off the bowling of Kagiso Rabada, before falling to the South African an over later.
