Virat Kohli was once again seen in a joyous mood during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) training session.
The star batter was caught on camera trying to imitate the unique batting style of fellow teammate Romario Shepherd. Following the act, the 37-year-old was then seen having a laugh with his captain, Rajat Patidar.
RCB have been training ahead of their second Indian Premier League (IPL) game of the season, where they face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday, April 5.

Kohli remains RCB’s best batter as they enter the 2026 IPL season as defending champions. The former skipper once again showed his class with the bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the opening game of their new campaign.
RCB chased down 202 with more than four overs to go. This was mainly down to the 101-run partnership forged by Kohli along with Devdutt Padikkal. The latter scored 61 off just 26 balls.
The former India captain, meanwhile, mesmerised the Bengaluru crowd by scoring an unbeaten 69 from 38 balls, an innings comprising five fours and sixes, to take his side to their first two points of the season.
RCB have made little to no changes to their title-winning squad from last year. This means that the presence of Shepherd is still vital to their chances of retaining the title in 2026.
Despite being on the expensive side, Shepherd picked up three wickets against SRH, which included the important scalps of Heinrich Klaasen and an in-form Aniket Verma.
The West Indies international did not get a chance to bat against the Hyderabad outfit. However, he remains one of the most destructive batters in the IPL. Last season, the 31-year-old scored at a strike-rate of 291.66 in the three innings he came out to bat.

Shepherd, along with Tim David, gives RCB batters the license to go hard from the start of the innings, knowing that there are hard-hitting batters lower down the order too.
