Virat Kohli wins hearts with touching gesture towards specially-abled Pakistani fan outside Lord’s
India batting superstar Virat Kohli once again showcased why he is admired far beyond the cricket field after sharing a heartwarming moment with a specially-abled Pakistani fan outside the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground on Saturday, June 28.
Kohli was present at Lord’s to support the Indian women’s team during their crucial Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 clash against Australia. While the result did not go India’s way, with Harmanpreet Kaur’s side suffering a heartbreaking defeat and crashing out of the tournament, Kohli’s warm interaction with a fan outside the stadium left social media emotional.
After the match, Kohli was approached by a Pakistani fan in a wheelchair, who expressed his admiration for the former India captain. The emotional fan revealed that meeting Kohli had been a lifelong dream.
“It was my dream to meet you in person. You are a great player,” the fan told Kohli.
The Indian batting icon stopped to greet him warmly, shared a few words, and made the fan’s dream come true with a memorable interaction. The clip quickly went viral across social media, with cricket fans from both India and Pakistan applauding Kohli’s humility and sportsmanship.

Muzumdar spills the beans on Harman's stay as India captain
It was a must-win match for the Harmanpreet Kaur led side to qualify for the semi-final stage of the competition, for which England, Australia, and West Indies were already qualified. So, the equation was simple for the Indian team: win the match, and book a place in the knockout stages.
But, they were outplayed by the six-time world champions in London. Ellyse Perry was named Player of the Match for her outstanding knock of 56 runs in just 38 balls.
