Abhishek expressed his joy at receiving the award and acknowledged how challenging it was to secure a spot in the Indian team after the World Cup win. He explained that his focus throughout the Asia Cup was to follow a clear plan: to play positively and show intent from the very first ball. By sticking to this approach and working hard on his game, he was able to perform consistently and make a significant impact for India in the tournament.
“Getting a car is always a pleasure. (How has this tournament helped you?) I mean, of course, getting into this team after winning the World Cup, it wasn’t easy for any opener.
