Manav Suthar delivered a sensational spell to put Rest of India firmly in control against Vidarbha, picking up two crucial wickets in quick succession during first session on Day 1 of Irani Cup. His ability to apply pressure on the Vidarbha top-order was evident as he first removed Dhruv Shorey and then sent Danish Malewar back to the pavilion.

Suthar’s first victim was Shorey, who was bowled for 18 after playing a defensive shot towards the leg side. The ball pitched in line with the stumps, and Shorey’s failure to judge it correctly led to his stumps being disturbed, leaving Vidarbha at 80/2. His second breakthrough came shortly after when he trapped Malewar for a duck. The ball was tossed up on the off-stump line, turning slightly to take the outside edge, which was safely caught by Ishan Kishan behind the stumps. These two quick wickets were a significant blow to Vidarbha, leaving them in a precarious position as they continued to chase down Rest of India’s total. Suthar’s spell of 2 wickets for 0 runs off just one over showed his impact and left Vidarbha’s middle order under immense pressure.

Two beauties 👌👌
