The crowd roared in delight when Tom Curran’s fiery bowling was complemented by Sam Curran’s athletic brilliance in the field, helping Oval Invincibles secure a thumping win over Welsh Fire.

The competition produced a memorable family moment at Kennington Oval, London, as the Curran brothers joined forces to deliver the final blow in Oval Invincibles’ emphatic win over Welsh Fire. Tom’s fiery spell ended with a wicket that was made even more special thanks to a brilliant catch from his younger brother, Sam.

The closing stages of the game had drama written all over it. Tom  sent down a full delivery to Ajeet Dale, who went hard at it with a crisp drive. The ball rocketed towards cover, seemingly destined for a boundary, but Sam showcased razor-sharp reflexes to grab the ball overhead with a reverse cup. The dismissal not only sealed the match but also summed up a dominant performance from the Invincibles.

Batting first, Oval Invincibles posted a massive 226/4 in their 100 balls. Jordan Cox was the star of the innings, smashing 86 runs and anchoring the middle overs with authority. His explosive knock, coupled with valuable contributions from the top order, gave the home crowd plenty to cheer for.

In reply, Welsh Fire never found their rhythm. Despite Jonny Bairstow’s fighting 50, the rest of the batting unit crumbled under pressure. Jason Behrendorff struck early with 3/20, while Tom dismantled the middle order, finishing with exceptional figures of 4/15.
