Arjun Tendulkar delivered one of his finest performances in the Mumbai T20 League as he played a pivotal role in Arcs Andheri’s comprehensive nine-wicket victory over Bandra Blasters on Monday. The all-round display not only earned him the Player of the Match award but also drew special praise from captain Shivam Dube in the dressing room after the game.
A video from the celebrations has since gone viral on social media, showing Dube applauding several standout performers from the match. However, he began his speech by acknowledging Arjun’s contribution, prompting loud applause from teammates and a memorable reaction from the young all-rounder.
Following the victory, Dube addressed the team in the dressing room and highlighted the efforts of the key performers. The skipper started by mentioning Arjun, whose all-round heroics laid the foundation for the win. While Arjun initially responded with a reserved expression, he was later seen smiling broadly as the appreciation continued, a moment that quickly caught the attention of fans online.
“What do I say? Arjun Tendulkar. We have two backbones in our team, Ajay Mishra and Musheer Khan. Amazing start to the innings by Divyaansh, special knock by Musheer, but once again, Arjun,” Dube said, drawing an enthusiastic response from the entire squad.

Earlier in the match, Bandra Blasters elected to bat first but found themselves under immediate pressure thanks to Arjun’s fiery opening spell. The left-arm pacer struck twice in the opening over and finished with impressive figures of 3/11 from three overs, including a maiden. The Blasters struggled at 27/5 inside the powerplay before recovering through useful contributions from Om Keshkamat (49) and Sagar Chhabria (44), eventually posting 144/9 in their allotted overs.
In reply, Arcs Andheri lost an early wicket but quickly took control through Arjun and Musheer Khan. The pair stitched together an unbeaten 116-run partnership for the second wicket, completely taking the game away from the opposition.Arjun smashed an unbeaten 66 off just 34 deliveries, striking four boundaries and five sixes, while Musheer remained not out on 54 from 38 balls. Their aggressive batting ensured Arcs Andheri chased down the target with nine wickets in hand and 37 balls to spare.
The victory marked Arcs Andheri’s third win of the season and further strengthened their position in the tournament standings. For Arjun, the match served as another reminder of his growing potential, with his match-winning display and the heartfelt dressing-room appreciation from Dube becoming one of the standout moments of the competition.
