Virat Kohli once again grabbed the attention of fans, this time away from the cricket field. The former India captain was recently seen enjoying a live performance by Punjabi music sensation Karan Aujla at a One8 event in New Delhi, and a particular moment from the evening has quickly gone viral across social media platforms.
The event brought together personalities from the worlds of sports, music and entertainment, but it was Kohli’s interaction with Aujla on stage that emerged as one of the biggest highlights. Videos from the celebration have been widely shared online, with fans praising the batter’s energetic and carefree side.
As Karan Aujla performed his chartbuster track Winning Speech, Kohli appeared completely immersed in the moment. The star batter was seen singing along, clapping to the rhythm and vibing with the crowd as the singer delivered one of his most popular songs. The highlight came when Aujla sang the lyric, “Aujle de kanna vich nathiya.”
In a spontaneous reaction, Kohli pointed towards his own earring while smiling and singing along, drawing loud cheers from the audience. The light-hearted gesture instantly became the talking point of the evening, with clips of the moment spreading rapidly across social media. The video has since garnered significant attention online, becoming one of the most talked-about moments from the event.

The viral moment carried additional significance because Kohli has previously spoken about his admiration for Winning Speech. During a conversation at the same event, the batting superstar revealed that the song holds a special place in his heart and is among the tracks he listens to regularly before matches.
Speaking about Aujla’s music, Kohli praised the singer for writing from personal experiences and connecting with listeners through authentic storytelling. The former India captain further explained that the song’s themes resonate deeply with his own life journey.
“You write songs from the heart, and it shows. You also represent your story, which is quite special. The one track I resonate with the most is ‘Winning Speech’. It explains the journey he has been through, and I have felt a bit of similarity in it with my journey as well. I also lost my dad when I was pretty young. So, that song is quite special for me. I have heard it often before going to play matches,” Kohli said.
Kohli’s comments offered fans a rare glimpse into the personal motivations that continue to inspire one of cricket’s greatest modern-day batters. The veteran recently played a pivotal role in IPL 2026 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) title-winning campaign and is expected to return to international action during India’s upcoming ODI assignments later this month.
