WBBL 2025: Match 22, BH W vs MS W Match Prediction – Who will win today’s WBBL match between Brisbane Heat Women vs Melbourne Stars Women?

The Match No. 22 of Women's Big Bash league (WBBL) 2025 will be played between Brisbane Heat (BH-W) Women and Melbourne Stars Women (MS-W) at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane on Sunday, November 23. The two teams recently met in the T20 Spring Challenge last month, in which the Heat emerged victorious by 63 runs.
Brisbane Heat Women are yet to gain their first points on the board. Their smallest defeat in terms of margin came in their first match against Melbourne Renegades Women. However, they have not been at their best ever since. No batter or bowler has really stepped up. They will be eager to get their campaign running with a win on Sunday.
Meg Lanning has led the charge for her Melbourne Stars Women with the bat. The right-handed batter has been in fine form. On the bowling front, Kim Garth has been amongst the wickets, with eight scalps in four matches at an economy rate of 5.66. The Stars have won two matches in four games so far, with one no-result as well.
The venue at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane has been host to four matches this WBBL season. Teams have found batting second easier, although two of the matches have been won by the team defending, too. Since it is a night game, the captain winning the toss might bowl first, which is likely to provide a better idea of the conditions at the surface.
Charli Knott, Lauren Winfield-Hill, Jess Jonassen (c), Chinelle Henry, Georgia Redmayne (wk), Nadine de Klerk, Mikayla Wrigley, Sianna Ginger, Annie O'Neil, Nicola Hancock, Lucy Hamilton
Meg Lanning, Rhys McKenna, Amy Jones (wk), Annabel Sutherland (c), Marizanne Kapp, Danielle Gibson, Kim Garth, Sasha Moloney, Georgia Prestwidge, Sophie Day, Maisy Gibson
Meg Lanning has only registered one single-digit score in the WBBL this season. In the other three innings, she has scored 60, 90* and 135, and that too at a superior strike rate, making her amongst the top run-getters of the tournament thus far with 288 runs from just four outings at an average of 96.00. The experienced top-order batter will be expected to fire yet again.
In the four WBBL matches up until now, Lucy Hamilton has taken a wicket at least in three matches. Her economy rate of 7.69 has been on the decent side too. She has delivered crucial spells, however, it hasn't helped the Brisbane-based side, as they are languishing at the bottom of the WBBL 2025 Points Table at the moment. The left-armer can be expected to put in a vital performance.
