West Indies will take on Australia in the fourth T20I of the five-match series on Sunday, July 27, at Warner Park, Basseterre, St. Kitts.
Having already conceded the series 0-3, the hosts will be eager to bounce back and end the campaign on a high by winning the remaining two games. While the Caribbean batters have shown promise throughout the series, their bowling unit has struggled, conceding heavily in all three matches so far.
Australia, on the other hand, have dominated the tour, clinching both the Test and T20I series, and will be aiming for a clean sweep in the T20Is. They sealed the third match in style, thanks to a sensational 37-ball century by Tim David, and will look to carry that momentum into the fourth game.
Warner Park in St. Kitts has proven to be a paradise for batters, with minimal movement off the pitch and plenty of runs on offer. The surface has offered little assistance to bowlers, resulting in high-scoring games for both sides. Similar conditions are expected for the fourth T20I, setting the stage for another run-fest with limited support for the bowlers.
Brandon King, Shai Hope (c & wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Roston Chase, Rovman Powell, Sherfane Rutherford, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd, Gudakesh Motie, Akeal Hosein, Jediah Blades
Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Marsh (c), Josh Inglis (wk), Cameron Green, Tim David, Mitchell Owen, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis, Sean Abbott, Nathan Ellis, Adam Zampa
The middle-order batter Cameron Green could play a pivotal role for Australia in the fourth T20I. With 118 runs in three innings at an impressive average of 59.00, Green has shown the ability to steady the innings if early wickets fall. His composure and ability to accelerate during the middle overs make him a crucial asset in Australia’s lineup.
Ben Dwarshuis might be a key bowler against the West Indies. Despite the batting-friendly conditions at Warner Park, he has emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the series. His ability to extract pace and seam movement during the powerplay can help Australia apply early pressure and restrict the opposition’s scoring.
