What is Rohit Sharma's record at Indore in ODIs?

Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma is currently in sublime touch in the ODI format for India. After leading the Men in Blue to glory in the 2024 T20 World Cup, Rohit retired from T20 Internationals. He later announced his retirement from Test cricket in May 2025, choosing to continue only in the 50-over format. Since the conclusion of the Champions Trophy 2025, Rohit has featured for India only in the ODI series against Australia in October 2025.
In the ODIs played since that Australian series, Rohit has maintained impressive form, scoring one century and three half-centuries. His lone century came against Australia, while he also registered one fifty against the Aussies and two half-centuries against South Africa. Despite limited outings, the veteran opener has continued to show consistency and fluency at the top of the order.
India are currently locked in a three-match ODI series against New Zealand, with the series evenly poised at 1-1. The decider is scheduled to be played on January 18 at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. Historically, the venue has been a fortress for India, with the hosts winning all seven ODIs played there so far.
Rohit Sharma also boasts a solid record at the Indore venue. He has played five matches at the stadium, both as an opener and occasionally in the middle order. In those five innings, he has scored 205 runs at an average of 41, including one century and one half-century. His most notable knock at the venue came in 2023 against New Zealand, when he scored a commanding 101 off 85 balls, helping India secure a 90-run victory. India went on to whitewash the series 3-0.
Although Rohit has managed only 50 runs across the first two matches of the ongoing series, he has looked comfortable at the crease and shown signs of good rhythm. With the pitch conditions in Indore traditionally favouring his batting style, the experienced right-hander will be eager to convert his starts into a big score. As India aim to clinch the series 2-1, Rohit’s form and leadership could prove crucial in the all-important final ODI.
