Laila Faisal, Abhishek Sharma's rumoured girlfriend, was spotted during the latter's sister Komal Sharma's pre-wedding festivities. The former shared pictures from the event on her Instagram account. This has led to further speculations among fans about her dating India's latest batting sensation, Abhishek Sharma.
For the unversed, Laila is a Delhi-based fashion entrepreneur and the founder of Roohi Faisal Designs. As per reports, she studied in the United Kingdom, doing her bachelor's in science in psychology from King's College in London. After returning to India, she also undertook modelling assignments for several brands. Currently, she has 65.4K followers on Instagram.
Abhishek, who missed her sister's wedding on October 3 to play for India A versus Australia A, has not confirmed that he is dating Laila. However, it shouldn't come as a surprise if the announcement comes anytime soon.
While Abhishek was unfortunately dismissed for a golden duck against Australia A, the southpaw is having the time of his life as far as his cricketing career is concerned. During the recently concluded Asia Cup, Abhishek was in red-hot form, as he amassed 314 runs in seven innings at an average of 44.86 and a strike rate of 200. The Punjab batter finished as the highest run-getter in a single edition of the T20 Asia Cup.
Abhishek's brilliance with the bat played a key role as India won the Asia Cup for a record-extending ninth time. This was also the second time they won the T20 version of the continental competition. Abhishek gave his team some blistering starts throughout the campaign. He was dismissed for a single-digit score only in the final.
Suryakumar Yadav-led India won seven matches, remaining unbeaten in the competition. They defeated arch-rivals Pakistan in the final by five wickets in Dubai.

Coming back to Abhishek, the opening batter is reportedly in contention for a spot in India's ODI side, which will tour Australia later this month. The Asian giants will play three ODIs in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney.
