Will Shah Rukh Khan attend Rinku Singh’s wedding? Batter responds

Kolkata Knight Riders star Rinku Singh and his fiancée Priya Saroj have been the talk of town ever since news of their engagement broke earlier this year. The pair’s chemistry and contrasting backgrounds—a power-hitting batter and a Member of Parliament—set social media alight long before families made the bond official in a glittering ceremony attended by luminaries from cricket and politics. Yet one high-profile invite remained conspicuously unfulfilled: that of KKR co-owner and Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan. In an interview with News24, Rinku candidly revealed how he courted the superstar’s presence at both his engagement gala and upcoming nuptials—only to be met with scheduling conflicts and optimistic promises of dance-floor moves yet to come.
The friendship between Rinku and Shah Rukh was sealed in fire and fireworks long before any wedding bells rang. It was April 2023 when Rinku etched his name into IPL legend by belting five consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal in a must-win thriller against Gujarat Titans.
When Rinku called SRK to invite him to his engagement, memories of that promise added a touch of poignancy to the invite. Unfortunately, shooting commitments for the next blockbuster film prevented the mastermind of romance from making an appearance—but not from sending his warmest regards.

Despite the no-show at the engagement, Rinku hasn’t given up hope of sharing his big day with SRK. “I have invited Shah Rukh Sir to my wedding as well. Let’s see if he comes,” the batter laughed, his optimism as infectious as his trademark six-hitting celebration. While Venky Mysore, KKR’s CEO, proudly represented the franchise in Khan’s stead at the engagement, Rinku is determined to secure the superstar’s red-carpet debut at his wedding this November.
With the domestic season looming large and family calendars already pencilling in dates, the couple is eyeing late November 2025 for their grand union. As India’s premier T20 star focuses on gearing up for another season of leather-flattening powerplays, his mind often drifts back to that phone call with Khan—and to the dream of sharing a celebratory dance under the chandeliers of Rinku and Priya’s wedding marquee.
