Maharashtra Tycoons (MT) lock horns with Dubai Royals (DR) in match No. 15 of the ongoing World Legends Pro T20 League 2026 at the 1919 Sportz Cricket Stadium in Goa on Monday, February 2.
The Tycoons have played four matches so far. They won their first match but have suffered three consecutive defeats. The Carlos Brathwaite-led side come into this clash on the back of a 12-run defeat to Pune Panthers.
Meanwhile, Dubai Royals are struggling at the bottom of the table. They too have won one match and lost three. However, their net run rate is a disappointing -2.261. Shikhar Dhawan and Co. would want to forget what happened in the past and focus on winning Monday's fixture.
It is important to note that if Gurugram Thunders lose their last game to Delhi Warriors on Sunday, the clash between the Tycoons and the Royals will become a virtual quarterfinal.
The 1919 Sportz Cricket Stadium has hosted 13 matches so far. Six matches have been won by chasing teams, while teams batting first have won seven. The pitches have been quite good for batting and bowlers will have very little margin for error.
The upcoming match between the Maharashtra Tycoons vs Dubai Royals in the World Legends Pro T20 League 2026, scheduled for February 2, will be the first meeting between these two teams.
Chris Gayle, Sir Alastair Cook, Shaun Marsh, Praveen Gupta, Stuart Binny, Pratik Athavale (WK), Sarul Kanwar, Carlos Brathwaite (C), Ayaan Khan, Pawan Suyal, Dale Steyn.
Shikhar Dhawan (C), Kirk Edwards, Amit Verma, Ambati Rayudu, Samit Patel, Yusuf Pathan, Peter Trego, Parvez Rasool, Manvinder Bisla (WK), Piyush Chawla, Fidel Edwards.
Chris Gayle has contributed well this season. The legendary Caribbean opener has managed 109 runs in four innings so far. However, he is yet to score a half-century. The 46-year-old will look to get himself set at the crease and treat the fans to a Gayle storm.
Piyush Chawla is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament so far. In four matches, he has accounted for nine wickets at an average of 16.78. The former India leg-spinner will play a key role in the middle overs with his wicket-taking ability.
