Women's T20 World Cup 2026: AUS W vs PAK W Today's Match Highlights: Unmissable video recap, POTM, match analysis, stats and more
Australia Women registered a commanding 113-run win against Pakistan Women in the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 during Match 21 on Tuesday, June 23, at Headingley in Leeds. Australia set a target of 200 for the Women in Green, but they got bundled out for only 86 in reply, thereby helping the Aussies secure a semi-final berth already.
Ellyse Perry arrived at the crease on just the second ball of the match, as the Aussies lost a wicket early. Under enormous pressure, Perry did not lose her cool and steadied the innings forward with a solid 100-run partnership with Georgia Voll for the second wicket. Finding gaps through innovative and clever strokeplay, Perry stood the guard for 71 off just 48, being the highest scorer of the match as well.
While the entire Australian bowling attack kept the Pakistanis on their toes, it was skipper Sophie Molineux who not only picked up a couple of breakthroughs but also gave away just six runs in her spell that saw her pick the likes of Saira Jabeen (5 off 4) and Nashra Sandhu (0 off 2). Both the wickets came in Molineux's second over, where she conceded only one run, nearly confirming the victory for her side.
All-rounder Perry, beyond her brilliant half-century in the first innings, also showed her bowling prowess, giving away only nine runs, while also scalping a couple of breakthroughs. Her all-round performance made her a worthy contender for the Player of the Match accolade, playing an influential role in the massive victory for her side.
Match 22 of the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 will be played between the West Indies Women and England Women at the Lord's Cricket Ground on Wednesday, June 24. While Australia have a game to go in the group stage against India on Sunday, Pakistan will be facing the Netherlands to mark an end to their campaign in the global tournament.
