Women's T20 World Cup 2026: Match 14, AUS W vs NED W Match Prediction – Who will win today’s match between Australia Women vs Netherlands Women?
Australia will be looking to make it three wins from as many matches when they take on newcomers Netherlands in Match 14 of the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup in the port city of Southampton on Saturday, June 20.
The Aussies come into the game on the back of a routine nine-wicket victory over Bangladesh in Leeds. The win was set up by their bowlers, restricting the opposition to a mere 77 from 20 overs. The batters then chased it down within 10 overs.
The Netherlands, on the other hand, have suffered two defeats from their opening two matches of the World Cup. Their most recent defeat came against India, losing by 95 runs. The tournament debutants will come into the game against Australia as underdogs.
Offering a balanced contest between bat and ball, the Rose Bowl offers a pitch suitable for batters in the first innings, with slower bowlers and spinners coming into the fray towards the end of the game. Teams batting first can expect to put totals around the 150 to 160-run mark, which could be chased down under the right conditions.
The weather in Southampton is expected to remain cloudy for the majority of the day, which could help the fast bowlers generate swing.
With the Netherlands qualifying for the Women’s T20 World Cup for the first time in their history, their meeting against Australia on Saturday will be the first time the two sides will face one another in T20I cricket. They have, however, faced each other five times in ODI cricket.
Beth Mooney (WK), Georgia Voll, Ellyse Perry, Grace Harris, Georgia Wareham, Annabel Sutherland, Nicola Carey, Sophie Molineux(C), Alana King, Kim Garth, Megan Schutt
Heather Siegers, Phebe Molkenboer, Babette de Leede (WK, C), Sterre Kalis, Robine Rijke, Frederique Overdijk, Iris Zwilling, Myrthe van den Raad, Caroline de Lange, Silver Siegers, Isabel Woning
Georgia Voll has been in splendid form for Australia heading into the Women's T20 World Cup. Despite scoring a duck against South Africa in the first game of the tournament, the right-handed batter showed her class against Bangladesh, hitting an unbeaten 45 to help her side to victory. She also scored 77 not out against the West Indies in a warm-up game in Cardiff.
Ellyse Perry has been bowling relatively less over the past few years. However, that does not mean that she has lost her touch with the ball. The 35-year-old took two wickets against Bangladesh in Australia's previous fixture whilst conceding just 14 runs from three overs.
