Women's T20 World Cup 2026: Match 2, SCO W vs IRE W Match Prediction – Who will win today’s match between Scotland Women vs Ireland Women?

Scotland Women will face Ireland Women in Match 2 of the Women’s World Cup 2026 on June 13 at Old Trafford in Manchester.

Scotland Women come into what is just their second appearance in the T20 World Cup. They come on the back of dominant wins against the Netherlands and Pakistan in their warm-up game. They beat Bangladesh and the Netherlands in a tri-series before the start of the World Cup, and come into the tournament with significant momentum on their side.

This is Ireland's fifth appearance in the women's T20 World Cup. They come into this game on the back of a close 16-run loss against giants South Africa and an 11-run victory against Bangladesh in their two warm-up games. They finished in second place in the qualifier with three wins and two losses to make their way into the competition.

The surface at Old Trafford in Manchester is one of the bouncier tracks in the country. The ball comes onto the bat quite well, with there being good bounce and carry. Seamers get help with lateral movement, making the new ball overs the most difficult to face. The boundaries are fairly large with a rapid outfield, making run scoring easier.

Skipper Kathryn Bryce holds the key for Scotland in this tournament. A familiar name across the world T20 circuit, Bryce is an attacking batter who can dominate bowlers with relative ease. She scored 161 runs at a whopping strike rate of 176.92 in the recently concluded tri-series, and scored a brilliant unbeaten 94 off just 43 balls against Pakistan in the last warm-up game.

Scotland will be relying on the returning Kirstie Gordon to propel their bowling attack. The left-arm spinner last featured in the tournament in 2018 with England, whom she chose to represent. She picked up figures of 3 for 16 against Bangladesh in her tournament debut. Now playing for Scotland, she picked up five wickets in the recently concluded tri-series against Bangladesh and the Netherlands.
