Women's T20 World Cup 2026: Match 22, ENG W vs WI W Match Prediction – Who will win today’s match between England Women vs West Indies Women?
England and the West Indies will travel to St John's Wood in Northwest London for Match 22 of the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup to be played at the historic Lord's Cricket Ground on Wednesday, June 24. Both sides come into the game without losing in any of their three previous matches.
England have beaten Sri Lanka, Ireland and Scotland to sit comfortably at the top of Group A with a very healthy net run rate of 2.490. A win on Wednesday will all but confirm their place in the knockout rounds of the tournament.
West Indies, on the other hand, also have six points from three matches, but their inferior net run rate put them second in the standings. They come into the match after an emphatic win over Sri Lanka, where they won by five wickets after bundling out the opposition for just 98 in the first innings.
The game between England and the West Indies is the first one to take place at Lord's in the Women's T20 World Cup. The pitch at the iconic venue tends to favour the quick bowlers during the start of the innings, with the batters slowly coming into play as the game progresses. However, the inconsistent bounce due to the infamous slope could trouble the batting side if they are not careful.
Amy Jones (WK), Danni Wyatt-Hodge, Sophia Dunkley, Alice Capsey, Heather Knight, Freya Kemp, Dani Gibson, Charlie Dean (C), Sophie Ecclestone, Linsey Smith, Lauren Bell
Hayley Matthews(c), Deandra Dottin, Shemaine Campbelle(w), Stafanie Taylor, Jahzara Claxton, Chinelle Henry, Ashmini Munisar, Jannillea Glasgow, Aaliyah Alleyne, Afy Fletcher, Karishma Ramharack
Sophia Dunkley came into the side during the game against Scotland as an injury replacement for Nat Sciver-Brunt, and straightaway had a positive impact. The Surrey batter scored 57 off 37 balls in her first game of the Women's T20 World Cup to help her side secure the win by a comfortable margin.
Hayley Matthews has had two outstanding games with the ball, which have contributed to the West Indies' unbeaten start to the campaign. The spinner has taken three wickets against both Scotland and Sri Lanka at an economy rate of 4.75 and 3.75, respectively.
