Women's T20 World Cup 2026: Match 4, WI W vs NZ W Match Prediction – Who will win today’s match between West Indies Women vs New Zealand Women?
The West Indies Women (WI W) will have their task cut out when they take on defending champions New Zealand Women (NZ W) in match No. 4 of the Women's T20 World Cup 2026. This match is set to be played at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.
Hayley Matthews and Co. are coming into this series on the back of two defeats in the two warm-up matches they played. The West Indies lost to India and Australia. There are enough talent and firepower in the Caribbean side, but they will have to play as a unit.
Meanwhile, the White Ferns lost a three-match T20I series against England last month. However, they will be high on confidence, beating South Africa and Bangladesh comprehensively in the warm-up matches. New Zealand have a very strong side and will look to start their title defence with a victory.
The Rose Bowl in Southampton has true bounce and new-ball bowlers will also be able to get some swing in the air. Hit-the-deck bowlers will also get some purchase. Batters will have to give themselves some time in the middle before going for the big shots.
Hayley Matthews (C), Deandra Dottin, Qiana Joseph, Stafanie Taylor, Jahzara Claxton, Chinelle Henry, Jannillea Glasgow, Shawnisha Hector, Mandy Mangru (WK), Ashmini Munisar, Afy Fletcher.
Isabella Gaze (WK), Georgia Plimmer, Amelia Kerr (C), Sophie Devine, Brooke Halliday, Maddy Green, Izzy Sharp, Jess Kerr, Bree Illing, Lea Tahuhu, Nensi Patel.
Sophie Devine has been in stunning form and she would be looking to make a great start to her final Women's T20 World Cup campaign. If she gets herself set at the crease, she could send the West Indies bowlers on a leather hunt.
Lea Tahuhu would enjoy bowling in these conditions. The right-arm seamer will look to swing the new ball and her battle with Hayley Matthews is going to be very crucial inside the power play. If Tahuhu gets her early, it will give New Zealand a massive advantage.
