Scotland Women registered a comfortable 41-run victory over Ireland Women in Match No. 2 of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Old Trafford, Manchester, on June 13. Led by a fine all-round performance from captain Kathryn Bryce, Scotland posted a competitive 161/5 in their allotted 20 overs before restricting Ireland to 120 in 19.1 overs.
Scotland built their innings around a composed half-century from Bryce. Ireland’s bowlers struggled to contain the Scottish batters, although Ava Canning stood out with an impressive spell of 3/27 from her four overs. Chasing 162 for victory, Ireland never managed to gain momentum as wickets fell at regular intervals. Amy Hunter fought hard and emerged as the top scorer with 39 runs.
Kirstie Gordon and Katherine Fraser were the chief destroyers with the ball, claiming three wickets apiece to derail Ireland’s chase. Captain Bryce capped off a memorable outing by contributing with the ball as well, picking up two wickets.

Scotland captain Kathryn Bryce was the standout performer with the bat, leading from the front with a brilliant 60 off just 39 deliveries. Her innings featured six boundaries and a six, and she scored at an impressive strike rate of 153.85. Bryce played a pivotal role in Scotland's commanding total, stitching together a crucial 106-run partnership for the third wicket with her sister, Sarah Bryce.
Kirstie Gordon emerged as the top bowling performer of the match with an outstanding spell of 3/16 from her four overs. Gordon accounted for the wickets of Rebecca Stokell, Leah Paul, and Alice Tector, finishing with the best bowling figures of the contest.
Kathryn Bryce was named Player of the Match for her outstanding all-round performance, scoring 60 runs off 39 balls and taking two wickets, dismissing Alana Dalzell and Aimee Maguire.
Scotland Women will take on West Indies Women on 18 June at Headingley, Leeds, while Ireland Women will face England Women on 16 June at The Rose Bowl, Southampton.
