Women's World Cup 2025: Match 16, England Women vs Pakistan Women Match Prediction – Who will win today’s match between ENG W vs PAK W?

England Women (ENG W) take on Pakistan Women (PAK W) in match No. 16 of the Women's World Cup 2025 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday, October 15.
Nat Sciver-Brunt and Co. are unbeaten in the eight-team competition. They have registered comprehensive wins against South Africa and Sri Lanka by 10 wickets and 89 runs, respectively. Bangladesh did give them stiff competition, but Heather Knight used her experience to bail the Three Lions out of a tricky situation. England chased down a 179-run target with four wickets to spare.
Pakistan Women, on the other hand, are languishing at the foot of the points table. The Women in Green have played three matches so far and lost all of them. Fatima Sana and Co. started their campaign with a seven-wicket defeat against Bangladesh. They followed this defeat with one-sided losses against India and Australia by 88 and 107 runs, respectively.
Batting first has been the more fruitful option at this venue in the ongoing Women's World Cup. The captain who wins the toss could opt to bat first and look to put the opposition under scoreboard pressure. Spinners will have a role to play, especially through the middle overs.
Amy Jones (WK), Tammy Beaumont, Heather Knight, Nat Sciver-Brunt (C), Sophia Dunkley, Emma Lamb, Alice Capsey, Charlie Dean, Sophie Ecclestone, Linsey Smith, Lauren Bell.
Sadas Shamas, Muneeba Ali, Sidra Amin, Sidra Nawaz (WK), Natalia Pervaiz, Eyman Fatima, Fatima Sana (C), Rameen Shamim, Diana Baig, Nashra Sandhu, Sadia Iqbal.
Nat Sciver-Brunt will be high on confidence after slamming a run-a-ball 117 in the last game against Sri Lanka. This match was played in Colombo, so she has a decent idea of what the pitch could offer. The England skipper will look to anchor the innings and give her team a great chance of extending their winning run on Wednesday.
Sophie Ecclestone will be the bowler to watch out for on Thursday. She has picked up nine wickets in three matches at an average of 6.67 and a strike rate of 17.33. The left-arm spinner has a mind-boggling economy rate of 2.31.
