Women's World Cup 2025: Tickets for India’s clashes against Australia, England sold out

India's Women's World Cup 2025 clashes against Australia and England have been officially sold out. The co-hosts of the mega event are all set to take on Australia and England on October 12 (Visakhapatnam) and October 19 (England), respectively.

A total of 15,087 tickets for the fixture against Australia and 17,859 for the England game have been purchased by fans. This ensures that the two contests will be absolutely jam-packed. The numbers are as per Thursday, October 9.

The season-opening clash between India and Sri Lanka at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati recorded a massive attendance of 22,483, breaking the record for the highest-ever attendance for a group-stage game at any Women's ICC event. The previous best was 15,935 during India’s clash against arch-rivals Pakistan at the 2024 T20 World Cup in Dubai.

As far as India's remaining round-robin games are concerned, 90% tickets for the game against New Zealand on October 23 have been sold out while 82% tickets have been booked for the fixture against Bangladesh on October 26.

ICC's CEO Sanjog Gupta expressed his excitement on the turnout, saying that the "world’s best athletes" deserve stadiums "full of energy and enthusiasm".

“We saw this World Cup as an opportunity to deepen the connection between fans and the women’s game. The decision to make tickets accessible, starting at just INR 100, was rooted in our belief that stadiums should be full of energy and enthusiasm for the world’s best athletes. The turnout in Guwahati and the early sell-outs in Indore and Vizag show how far the women’s game has come, and how much further it can go. We are committed to building on this momentum, from record prize money to landmark initiatives, to ensure the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 leaves a legacy that’s truly global and lasting," Gupta was quoted as saying by the ICC website.
