Chinelle Henry produced an explosive display of power hitting in the 19th over of the 2026 WPL final, smashing a 24 runs off Nadine de Klerk to push Delhi Capitals Women (DC) into a commanding position batting first.
De Klerk, one of the premier all-rounders in women’s cricket, came on at a critical phase with DC cruising but still needing acceleration. What followed was brutal and brilliant batting.
Henry’s assault began with decisive footwork and fearless intent, as she launched de Klerk to all parts of the ground. The over quickly turned into a barrage of boundaries and sixes, shifting the momentum towards Delhi Capitals in no time.
This came at a crucial juncture, the penultimate over of DC’s innings and effectively swung the momentum. Sayali Satghare, too, was at the receiving end, as Henry along with Laura Wolvaardt smashed 15 runs in the final over to take their team total to 203.

The West Indies all-rounder reflected on her knock after the innings, revealing what she had in mind before going to bat, and how much the discussions were held leading into the finals.
“In the couple of games that I've batted, I was just rushing things a little bit. The conversations we've had ... once I'm at the crease, anything is possible, so it was okay for me to get a few doubles in once I was there until the end. Obviously, coming in, I can be a little bit by happy feet, trying to rush things very early in the innings. So it was just about giving me a little bit more time and just to finish the innings for the team,” she concluded.
