WPL 2026: List of all teams’ retained players, released players & purse remaining ahead of mega auction

All five franchises of the Women's Premier League declared their choice of retained players after the fourth T20I of the five-match series between Australia and India came to an end. This sets up an exciting mega auction, which is scheduled to take place on November 27 in New Delhi.
There was a lot of diversity in terms of the strategies employed. While franchises such as Mumbai Indians Women and Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women retained the expected set of players, UP Warriorz Women surprised one and all by retaining only one player, that too, an uncapped one. Delhi Capitals Women and Gujarat Giants Women, like MI, used up both their overseas slots.
WPL 2026 is set to be a cracker of a season. Ahead of the fourth instalment, the mega auction is shaping up to be a high-octane event. All the teams involved, in addition to their management will be keen on building their best squads in a bid to compete for the title.
