Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women displayed a strong all-round performance as they defeated UP Warriorz by nine wickets at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. Chasing a target of 144, RCB sealed the win in just 12.1 overs with 47 balls to spare.

Earlier, RCB opted to field after winning the toss. Lauren Bell kept the Warriorz in check, while Shreyanka Patil and Nadine de Klerk ran through the middle order. UPW suffered a collapse, slipping to 50/5 inside nine overs. Deepti Sharma (45*) and Deandra Dottin (40*) stitched together an unbeaten 93-run stand to rescue their team and push the total to 143/5.

In reply, Grace Harris dismantled the UPW attack, racing to 85 off just 40 balls. Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana played the perfect supporting role, anchoring the chase with an unbeaten 47. Their 137-run opening stand completely knocked UPW out of the contest. Harris eventually fell with only seven runs left.

Right-arm pacer Lauren Bell was the best bowler of the match, producing aperformance for her team. While she picked a sole wicket of Harleen Deol, her tight lines and lengths made sure the opposition batters never got the opportunity to score runs freely. In her four-over quota, she conceded just 16 runs and bowled at an economy of 4.00. Her spell eventually helped other RCB bowlers to pick wickets.

Opener Grace Harris was rightly named Player of the Match for her performance with the bat in RCB’s dominating win over UP W. She scored a solid 85 runs off 40 balls, including ten boundaries and five sixes, forming a crucial opening partnership with Smriti. Her knock helped RCB seal the win in just 12.1 overs.
