The final Test of the five-match series between England and India concluded in stunning fashion for the touring team. With this result, the series ended with a 2-2 scoreline and India ended up retaining the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. There has also been a significant change to the points table standings of the ongoing World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle.

India ended their first innings by getting bowled out for just 224. Gus Atkinson (5/33 in 21.4 overs) starred with the ball while Karun Nair (57 off 109) top-scored. Karun's second-ever Test fifty came at a crucial point for his team.

The 92-run opening stand made it seem as if the hosts would take a massive lead. However, Mohammed Siraj (4/86 in 16.2 overs) and Prasidh Krishna (4/62 in 16 overs) were instrumental in bowling England out for 247.

Yashasvi Jaiswal's 118-run ton powered India to a substantial 396. Josh Tongue (5/125 in 30 overs) ended up with a five-wicket haul, leaving them to chase 374 to clinch the series.

A 195-run stand between Joe Root (105 off 152) and Harry Brook (111 off 98) almost assured England the win. However, the pace-bowling duo of Siraj (5/104 in 30.1 overs) and Prasidh Krishna (4/126 in 27 overs) powered India to a famous win, as the thrilling series ended in a draw.
