Zimbabwe will take on New Zealand in Match 3 of the ongoing edition of the Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Series at the Harare Sports Club on Friday, July 18. Both the teams have played one match apiece.

While the Kiwis won against South Africa by 21 runs, the hosts ended up going down by a hefty margin of five wickets. Tim Robinson (75* off 57) and Jacob Duffy (3/20 in four overs) were the standout performers for New Zealand in their victory.

On the other hand, Sikandar Raza's half-century (54* off 38) meant Zimbabwe ended up on a respectable total after being under the pump for most of the innings. Right-arm medium pacer Trevor Gwandu (2/15 in 3.1 overs) was quite economical for Zimbabwe.

This will be the first time in almost a decade that these two teams will take on each other in a T20I. They have only played six matches in the shortest format so far.

Run-scoring has not been the easiest in the two matches played so far. The teams will have to ensure that they make the most of the powerplay.
