Asia Cup 2025 continues to showcase India’s dominant form as they steamroll through the tournament with an unbeaten streak that has positioned them as overwhelming favorites to lift the trophy. Captain Suryakumar Yadav has led from the front both on and off the field, with his latest viral moment capturing hearts across social media platforms.
Following India‘s commanding six-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Super Four opener on September 21, Suryakumar shared a lighthearted video featuring his interaction with a golden retriever named “Entertainment”. The Indian T20I skipper began the clip with the playful phrase “Ye Kutta Bolta Hai” (This dog speaks), engaging in what appeared to be a humorous conversation with his furry companion. The dog’s amusing reactions to Suryakumar’s questions left viewers thoroughly entertained, with the video quickly going viral as fans appreciated seeing the lighter side of their captain during such an intense tournament.
Taking over T20I captaincy from Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar has combined tactical acumen with team camaraderie to guide India through a flawless campaign. The defending champions opened with a nine-wicket thrashing of UAE, followed by a convincing seven-wicket win against Pakistan in the group stage. Their Super Four journey began in style as they outplayed Pakistan again, chasing 172 with Abhishek Sharma’s 74 off 39 balls and Shubman Gill’s brisk 47 forging an unbroken 105-run stand for the first wicket. India’s chase concluded with seven balls to spare at Dubai International Stadium, marking the Men in Blue’s seventh straight white-ball victory over Pakistan since the 2022 T20 World Cup.
Suryakumar has also sparked off-field headlines by avoiding handshakes with Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha at the toss and post-match presentations, underscoring India’s dominant stance. “If two teams have played 15 matches and it’s 8-7, that’s a rivalry. Here it’s 13-1 or something. There is no contest,” he remarked after the Super Four opener.

India tops the Super Four table with two wins and a superior net run rate of +0.689, needing just one more victory to lock in a final berth. Bangladesh sits second after edging Sri Lanka by four wickets, while Pakistan and Sri Lanka both search for their first points in this round. India’s remaining fixtures include clashes with Bangladesh on September 24 and Sri Lanka on September 26 at Dubai International Stadium. A win in either match will secure India’s place in the September 28 final, where they aim to regain the title and extend their unbeaten run in the tournament to ten matches.
