The Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2025 is now set, with the four best teams from the group stage battling for a spot in the final. This round-robin format means each of the four qualified teams, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, will face each other once. The stakes are incredibly high as these nations, the giants of Asian cricket, compete for supremacy. The stage is primarily set in Dubai, where the teams will endure a grueling schedule, with the two sides that finish at the top of the Super Four standings advancing to the grand finale.
India entered the Super Four as the top-ranked team from Group A, following a flawless performance in the group stage. They won both of their matches convincingly, demonstrating their dominance in all aspects of the game. India first overpowered the UAE with a commanding nine-wicket victory, chasing down a small target of just 57 runs in record time. They followed this up with an emphatic seven-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan in a highly anticipated clash. With their stellar form and a formidable net run rate, India appears to be the team to beat as they head into the Super Four stage.

Pakistan booked their spot in the Super Four as the second team from Group A with a mixed but ultimately successful group stage campaign. After a decisive win over Oman and a crucial 41-run victory over the UAE, they managed to qualify despite a heavy defeat to India. Their journey highlighted both areas of strength and weakness, with key players like Fakhar Zaman stepping up to score a vital half-century against the UAE. Pakistan’s team will look to make tactical adjustments to improve their batting performance in the middle order to better compete with the tournament’s top sides.
Sri Lanka had a perfect and undefeated run in the group stage, finishing on top of Group B. They were the first team from their group to qualify for the Super Four, having won all three of their matches. Their campaign included a dominant six-wicket victory over Afghanistan, where a brilliant half-century from Kusal Mendis sealed their third win. Sri Lanka’s consistent performance with both bat and ball makes them a strong contender for the title.
Bangladesh’s qualification for the Super Four was secured after a nail-biting finish to the group stage. They finished second in Group B, with their progression confirmed only after Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan in the final group match. Their journey included a crucial eight-run victory over Afghanistan, which ultimately proved to be the deciding factor in their qualification. Despite a mixed bag of results, Bangladesh’s resilience and ability to win under pressure will make them a formidable opponent in the Super Four.
