Pakistan are set to face Bangladesh in the fifth match of the Super-Four stage of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Thursday, September 25.
Pakistan advanced to the Super Fours after registering wins against Oman and the UAE in the group stage. Their only defeat came at the hands of India by seven wickets. In the Super Fours, Salman Ali Agha's men started with a six-wicket defeat against the Men in Blue. However, they returned to winning ways, beating Sri Lanka by five wickets to stay afloat in the competition.
Bangladesh finished second in Group B, beating Hong Kong and Afghanistan. They suffered a defeat to Sri Lanka. However, Bangladesh avenged that loss in the Super Fours, beating the Lankan Lions by four wickets. Against India, the Tigers lost by 41 runs on Wednesday.
Whichever team wins on Thursday will punch their tickets to Sunday's final, where they will face the unbeaten Indian side.
The Dubai International Cricket Stadium has hosted eight matches so far in the 2025 Asia Cup. The average first-innings score has been around 144. The captain who wins the toss will want to bowl first. Teams will look to make early inroads with the new ball, as it could swing around under the lights.
