In a spectacle of sheer power and youthful audacity, South Africa’s sensation Dewald Brevis left the cricket world in awe during the third T20I against Australia. With the series on the line, he unleashed a breathtaking display of his signature no-look shots, hitting three sixes that didn’t just clear the boundary, but soared out of the stadium entirely, a display of hitting that will be replayed for years to come.
The 10th over of South Africa’s innings was a spectacle of power and fearlessness as Dewald Brevis dismantled Aaron Hardie with a jaw-dropping display of no-look hitting. On the third ball Hardie banged it in short at 121kph and Brevis kept his head down while swinging ferociously, launching it over deep midwicket and onto the roof. The fourth ball was full in the slot yet Brevis showed the same swagger, his eyes pointing down as he lifted it majestically over long-on for a towering strike. The drama only escalated on the fifth delivery when Hardie overpitched outside off and Brevis shuffled across before tonking it over long-off without even glancing at the ball. That made it three no-look sixes in a row and left the crowd in awe. The over still had more magic. On the final delivery Brevis reached his fifty from just 22 balls by smashing another six over deep cover, capping off an extraordinary over worth 27 runs.

At the halfway point of their innings, South Africa found themselves in a strong position, standing at 96 for the loss of three wickets. While they faced an early challenge, the momentum was decisively shifted by the aggressive and sensational batting of Brevis. The young star was in scintillating form, reaching a breathtaking half-century off just 22 balls and finding excellent support from Tristan Stubbs. Their partnership pushed the scoring rate significantly. The final over before the break was a particularly explosive one, launching the Proteas’ total close to the triple-figure mark and setting a solid platform for a commanding final score.
