BAN vs PAK 2025: Bangladesh enter with unchanged squad from Sri Lanka series win

Bangladesh have announced an unchanged squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan, following their 2-1 series victory over Sri Lanka. Pakistan have already arrived in Dhaka, where all three matches will be played at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium on July 20, 22, and 24. All games are set to be played under floodlights.
The Bangladesh squad arrived in Dhaka on Thursday, fresh from an impressive eight-wicket win over Sri Lanka in Colombo, which helped them overturn a 1-0 deficit to clinch the series. Litton Das became the first Bangladesh captain to win two overseas T20I series, having previously led the team to a 3-0 sweep in the West Indies last December.
The hosts' batting line-up is currently in good form, with Tanzid Hasan, Litton, Towhid Hridoy, and Shamim Hossain all making significant contributions against Sri Lanka. On the bowling front, off-spinner Mahedi Hasan led the attack in the third T20I, taking 4 wickets for just 11 runs. Rishad Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman also impressed, finishing the series with economy rates below 6.00 an over.
In contrast, the Bangla Tigers' recent T20I record against the Men in Green is less favourable, having suffered a 3-0 series defeat in Lahore earlier this year. Pakistan hold a strong overall record against Bangladesh in T20Is, winning 19 of the 22 encounters between the Asian giants.
Bangladesh will also be mindful of the pitch conditions in Dhaka, as heavy monsoon rains have affected the city, potentially impacting the playing surfaces.
