English bowling all-rounder Chris Jordan has played for five franchises in the Indian Premier League so far in seven seasons of the IPL. The T20 specialist has played 426 T20s all around the globe, as of January 3. He is currently representing Hobart Hurricanes in the 2025-26 Big Bash League.
Be it with ball, bat or field, Jordan has always given it his all for all the teams he has represented. Jordan has been a dependable asset for England in T20Is as well, having picked up 175 international wickets across eight Tests, 35 ODIs and 95 T20Is up until now.
Jordan is also a gun fielder especially while patrolling the fence. He also possesses the capability of striking some lusty blows with the bat down the order if needed. With the ball, he has more than 400 wickets to his name in T20 cricket.
He was recently involved in an exclusive conversation with CricTracker, where he named his all-time IPL XI. He picked seven Indians in his squad but did not include the joint-most successful IPL captain Rohit Sharma.
Jordan went ahead with the deadly duo of Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli to open the batting. He did not consider Rohit and David Warner, currently sitting second and fourth on the run-scoring charts, despite their stellar numbers. He went with India's T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav at No. 3, followed by Mr. IPL Suresh Raina at No. 4.
He slotted in AB de Villiers and Hardik Pandyaat Nos. 5 and. 6. The former South African wicketkeeper-batter has been one of the most dynamic batters the IPL has ever witnessed. Hardik has also been a revelation ever since he has entered the marquee T20 league. Jordan then picked legendary Chennai Super Kings veteran and five-time winning captain MS Dhoni.

He shortlisted the mystery spin of Sunil Narine along with the leg spin of Yuzvendra Chahal. Narine, who has only played for Kolkata Knight Riders, has picked up 192 wickets has been one of the most economical bowlers in the league, having maintained an economy rate of 6.79. Speaking of Chahal, he leads the wicket-taking chart by an emphatic margin.
Jordan's pace-bowling department constituted legends such Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga. While Malinga retired long back, he played a vital role in MI's four out of five title victories. On the other hand, Bumrah has been one of the star performers for MI over the year. He has picked up 183 wickets in only 145 matches at a brilliant strike rate of 22.02.
