CPL 2026: Match 5, SLK vs SKN Match Prediction – Who will win today’s CPL match between Saint Lucia Kings vs St Kitts and Nevis Patriots?
The Saint Lucia Kings will take on the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in Match 5 of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet on Thursday, August 13.
The Kings started their season with a nervy four-run win over the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. Opener Andreis Gous' well-made 82 took the Kings to a total of 187 for 8, which they defended successfully to seal a victory with a brilliant bowling performance. They will be looking to continue the momentum from this victory.
The Patriots started their campaign with a 19-run loss to the defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders, in a game that was cut short by rain. They were restricted to a total of 109 for 9 before the Knight Riders put on 94 for 2 in 15 overs before the game was called off due to rain. They will be looking to get their first victory of the campaign.
The pitch at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet offers enough help to both batting and bowling sides. Batters can play their shots on the up, while bowlers will be able to generate lateral movement with the new ball and spinners could receive helpful grip and turn.
Andries Gous (wk), Kamil Pooran, Ackeem Auguste, Jewel Andrew, Darron Nedd, Roston Chase (c), Matthew Forde, Joshua Bishop, McKenny Clarke, Shadley van Schalkwyk, Maheesh Theekshana
Johnson Charles, Andre Fletcher (wk), Kyle Mayers, Alick Athanaze, Jason Holder (c), Kevin Wickham, Navin Bidaisee, Ashmead Nedd, Obed McCoy, Saurabh Netravalkar, Waqar Salamkheil
USA wicketkeeper batter Andreis Gous has been in stellar form for the last few months, scoring heaps of runs across the MLC and GSL T20. He picked up from where he left off in the first CPL game, scoring a brilliant 82 off 51 balls. The southpaw hit six fours and six sixes in his knock, and will be looking to continue his form into the season.
Kings captain Roston Chase was exceptional with the ball for his side, playing a vital role in their four-run win over the Falcons. He bowled four overs and took figures of 2 for 18, offering control and keeping the run flow in check. He will be expected to deliver a similar performance against the Patriots.
