CPL 2026: Navin Bidaisee pulls off a stunning catch to end Quinton de Kock's hundred
One of the most talked-about moments of Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 arrived on September 1 at Warner Park, Basseterre, when a full-stretch diving catch by Navin Bidaisee brought an end to a blistering hundred from Quinton de Kock. The left-handed opener had been in devastating form for the Barbados Tridents, and his dismissal for 106 off 57 balls drew immediate attention across cricket circles.
De Kock's innings featured 11 fours and 6 sixes at a strike rate of 185.96. His wicket fell at 189/3 in the 18th over, off the bowling of Naseem Shah, as the Tridents pushed towards a big total in Match 23 of CPL 2026. The delivery from Naseem Shah was a low full toss close to off stump. De Kock, looking to loft the drive towards deep cover, got underneath the ball and sent it aerially into the outfield. Bidaisee, a St Kitts and Nevis Patriots all-rounder, ran across from the right, covered a large amount of ground and threw himself into a full-stretch dive, completing a one-handed take just above the ground and inches in front of the boundary rope.
