ENG vs IND 2025: 'Jassi bhai toh khelenge' - Mohammed Siraj confirms Bumrah's participation for fourth Test

India cricketer Mohammed Siraj has provided a massive update regarding star bowler Jasprit Bumrah's participation in the upcoming fourth Test against England, set to be played at the Old Trafford, Manchester. The game will commence on July 23 in a five-day fixture, and Siraj has now confirmed that his bowling partner and leader of the pace attack will be playing the all-important clash against The Three Lions.
“Jassi bhai toh khelenge, jitna mujhe pata hain (As far as I know, Jasprit Bumrah will play the fourth Test),” Siraj told reporters during the pre-match press conference on Monday.
Siraj further told that the basic idea for India's pace battery will be to bowl in good areas, and try restricting the English batters to score more freely. The Hyderabad-born also told that he expects the Ben Stokes-led side to play more patiently in Manchester, unlikely to their usual Bazball approach.
Apart from Bumrah and Siraj, another important addition to the playing combination could be Anshul Kamboj. The Haryana pacer is yet to make his debut in international cricket. He was recently added to India's 18-man squad as Nitish Kumar Reddy had to be sidelined owing to an injury. The all-rounder will now be flying home, as Kamboj might come in as a surprise package for the rest of the series.
The CSK pacer was seen bowling his heart out at the net session, just a day into the set-up. Reports are suggesting that he might be picked as the third pacer in the line-up, or fourth-in case Akash Deep also makes it through.
India's updated squad: Shubman Gill (captain), Rishabh Pant (vice-captain & wicketkeeper), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep, Arshdeep Singh*, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Sai Sudharsan, Dhruv Jurel (wicketkeeper), Kuldeep Yadav, and Anshul Kamboj.
Note* - Arshdeep Singh will be available only for the fifth Test
