Fact Check: Suryakumar Yadav’s new hairstyle in viral picture – Is it fake or real?

Modern-day cricketers have taken grooming to the next level and with constant media presence on cricketers, staying well-groomed has become a necessity. Meanwhile, a picture of Indian T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav has been going viral on social media, showing his hair dyed pink in a fresh hairstyle. Ever since the surfacing of the image, many have been speculated whether Suryakumar has actually coloured his hair pink.
However, it has been found that the image is fake. In fact, Suryakumar, with wife Devisha Shetty, recently visited the renowned, celebrity-centric Sunny Hairport salon in Bandra. Sunny himself posted a reel on Instagram about Suryakumar's experience.
Sunny was seen discussing on how Suryakumar would want his hair to be styled. Thereafter, different camera angles showed Sunny styling the Indian T20I skipper's hair. Suryakumar seemed pleased with the outcome in the end.
Coming to cricket, India will be led by Suryakumar at the 2025 Asia Cup. The dynamic batter is coming off a remarkable IPL 2025, where he emerged as the second-leading run-getter with 717 runs in 16 innings at a strike rate of 167.91.
Speaking of the Asia Cup, the continental tournament is set to go underway from September 9 in United Arab Emirates (UAE). India will open their campaign against hosts UAE on September 10. Notably, the eight participating teams have been divided into two groups of four each. Group A comprises of India, Oman, Pakistan and UAE while Group B has Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Fours, which will be followed by the final.
